Being able to speak up will change your life and your career.

Here’s how things changed for me once I got over my fear:

Once I overcame the fear of speaking in front of people, I landed my first paid public speaking opportunity in front of a group of women professionals at their college alum meeting.

I’ve been invited to speak in a wide range of forums, talking to people about how they could get involved in activism after Trump was elected.

My interviewing skills improved exponentially, and I landed my first full-time job in politics, where I would have to speak on Zoom to large groups of college students every week.

My strong interviewing and facilitating skills doubled my salary in my second paid political role when I was the National Training Director for a campaign. In this role, I would go on to create and facilitate the largest political organizing training of all time - for 16,000 viewers live on Zoom and YouTube in one night and 60,000 people over 4 weeks.

I was even invited to speak about the election on national TV, at events and on podcasts.

I don’t think my story is all that unique. When you’re confident speaking up in your life and in work, everything will be different.

Imagine…

…confidently leading a meeting at work.

…representing a candidate on live tv with ease.

…crushing panel interviews and getting multiple job offers.

I’ve overcome my fear of speaking and it’s helped me succeed in ways I never could have expected both personally and professionally.

And now, for the first time, I’m sharing what I’ve learned and put it all into a program for organizers, advocates, and candidates. It’s called Public Speaking for Organizers and I hope you’ll join me.

As an organizer, advocate or a current or future candidate - you’ll be expected to speak in front of others every single day. Whether that’s asking for donations, leading a phone-bank over Zoom or just speaking in a meeting with your boss and your boss's boss - you need to be able to confidently and calmly use your voice to have the impact you want to have in this world.

Public Speaking for Organizers is a half day live group workshop (over Zoom) where we’ll:

  1. Write a short personal story you can use in different situations.

  2. Identify your core values and why your voice is necessary in the movement.

  3. Unpack what makes public speaking so scary.

  4. Create individual methods for calming and managing your nerves.

  5. Practice speaking in front of a supportive and positive small group

  6. Learn the core frameworks that make Public Speaking for Organizers such a powerful program for people working on campaigns, issues and in movements.
